We climbed a mountain. Shawn & I had an agreement: we can’t move away from Mammoth until I hike the Sherwin Mountains. We hiked straight upwards, at one point having to scramble up a steep loose gravel rock ravine. I scratched up my hands on rocks, hit myself and several others with the snowboard on my back, and only wanted to cry one time. Once at the top, we took in the view, ate an orange, than strapped in for a well-earned powder run. And now I am free to live anywhere I choose.
